Dr. Thomas Lazzarini joins Retina Consultants San Diego on April 1, 2025, specializing in medical and surgical retina care. A Southern California native, he earned his B.S. from Yale College and his M.D. from Yale School of Medicine, graduating cum laude. He completed his ophthalmology residency and vitreoretinal surgical fellowship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, where he served as Co-Director of Ocular Trauma. Dr. Lazzarini treats a wide range of retinal conditions including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, macular holes, epiretinal membranes, and retinal vein occlusions.
